Kate Trnka is the founder of The Sacred Earth Institute and has a rich background in education and spirituality. She has her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education. Kate is currently working on her Ph.D. in Ecospsychology. In addition, Kate has been ordained as a minister by both the Church of the Earth Nation and the Universal Life Church. She is a lover of the natural world and the gifts it continues to give us in each and every moment. The Sacred Earth Institute (SEI) was founded to create a space where individuals can learn and develop their spiritual connection with the world that was so care-fully and wonder-fully designed for us - drawing us ever nearer to our authentic nature and the gifts we've been given to share with the world.
"Our fulfillment is not in our isolated human grandeur, but in our intimacy with the larger earth community, for this is also the larger dimension of our being." - Thomas Berry
The Community of Thich Nhat Hanh has gifted us two sacred sayings, called parallel verses - one for the inhale and one for the exhale:
On inhale: Sitting in freedom on this sacred land.
On the exhale: Walking in peace everywhere on Earth.
